Ralph Drollinger: Trading hoops for Lifetime Service to God

Ralph Drollinger was a natural in the field of basketball, but just when it was time  for him to show the world his skills and sportsmanship, he gave it up for his passion in helping the work of the Lord progress. He was a member of the all-star basket ball team during high school and college , plus offers of playing professionally came knocking. He refused them all, until fours years later he finally gave it a try. He played for a season and soon realized , that basketball was not just for him.

Playing basketball professionally comes with many privileges ,way above the minimum  wage  , mansions  to live that can be showcased at MTV’s Cribs, and of course there is the world wide instant recognition.  Anyone could have grabbed that oppurtunity but not for  Ralph Drollinger, he chose voluntary service over paid service.  He played for “Athletes In Action” ,an amateur team that goes around the world playing basketball and at the same preaching the word of God during  half time of each game.

Currently, Ralph Drollinger is the President  of  Capitol Ministries , a Nonprofit Organization that ministers to politicians.  Aside from doing his clergic  duties, he also do book reviews, one of  which is on “The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power”. He is happily married with three children. His daughter Sarah, was a star Volleyball player at the University of Pacific.
